Llywelyn’s Pub
This restaurant and venue has multiple bars and gathering spaces, excellent food, a large patio, live music, trivia, karaoke, and a surprisingly flexible private event space.
Llywelyn’s Pub is a spot many long-time locals know well but may not realize they can use for a killer Downtown Lee’s Summit party, pre-party, or post-party.
Llywelyn’s has a relaxed, welcoming pub feel, but the space itself surprises a lot of guests because no matter which entrance you come in, you will think the space is half the size it really is.
It is VERY large for a Downtown Lee’s Summit restaurant and bar!
If you enter at the corner of Douglas & Third Street, you’ll find a full restaurant with tons of seating and a giant bar, but if you keep going, there’s a whole other bar with a second gathering space, plus an outdoor patio and yet another full bar.
You can also access the patio and back bar with the ADA-friendly entrance ramp on Third Street, directly across the street from Neighborhood Cafe… Just behind the Kids at Heart Fountain, one of Lee’s Summit’s favorite fountains, and the city’s first public art installation.

The patio with a full bar is a great spot for an outdoor dinner or happy hour, and stays packed on weekends with some of the most popular live bands in Lee’s Summit.
The back bar, which can double as a great party venue, is a popular spot for all kinds of gatherings, depending on the night. It can be a great place to catch up with friends on some nights, and on others, you’ll find live music, Adult Only Trivia, or Karaoke… with a real DJ.
Having three bars and tons of bathrooms really helps keep things moving even when it’s busy, and tons of TVs throughout all the bars make it an easy choice for game days and watch parties.
It is also a popular spot for watching Kansas City Mavericks games, and they often have great football game-day specials.
The food leans toward classic pub comfort food and Irish fare, with generous portions and crowd-friendly favorites that make ordering simple for groups.
I used to have an office across the street, and my favorite lunch was their Chicken Fingers or The Adult Grilled Cheese because I eat like a child, but I have never had anything but GREAT food at Llywelyns!
It’s the kind of place where people can meet up for lunch breaks, networking events, or arrive at different times, order on their own, and still feel like they’re part of the same gathering.
Free Wi-Fi, plenty of space to spread out, and a laid-back but mature vibe make it a solid option for business lunches, meetings, and networking events. This place can handle a group.
The location plays a big role in why Llywelyn’s works so well for so many different types of gatherings.
Sitting directly across the street from The Stanley and just steps from Arcade Alley and other popular Downtown Lee’s Summit bars, it’s an easy stop before, during 😂, or after weddings or other Downtown Lee’s Summit events.
Llywelyn’s is also a hidden gem among Downtown Lee’s Summit party space rentals! It is a great option for private gatherings where you want food and drinks handled, a bartender, furniture, table settings, and cleanup all taken care of.
Groups under 50 can order individually with seperate checks and groups over 50 can order from the banquet menu.
Graduation parties, class reunions, or any other celebrations that are mostly for adults are great for Llywelyn’s… children are welcome until 10 pm in most spaces and 8 pm in the back bar on some nights.
